A286(SUH660Equivalent)
Characteristics
In JIS, A286 is a precipitation-hardenable austenitic heat resisting steel equivalent to SUH660. Its excellent strength and corrosion resistance in high-temperature environments of up to 700°C make it perfect for low stress applications. It is used as materials for rotors, bolts, blades, shafts, and other parts of a gas turbine and steam turbine.
It is non-magnetic and is also fit for applications requiring ductility in cryogenic environments as low as -196°C.
