SUS420J2(A)/SUS420J2(H)
Characteristics
SUS420J2 is a martensitic stainless steel, and high strength and hardness can be obtained by subjecting it to heat treatment (quenching and tempering).
It becomes harder than SUS420J1 after quenching.
Although its corrosion resistance is better than general hardened steels, it is inferior to austenitic stainless steels, ferritic stainless steels, and precipitation hardening stainless steels because its carbon (C) content is higher.
